The LFE5U-45F-6BG381C is a Lattice ECP5 general purpose FPGA with 44K logic cells, 1.9 Mb of embedded RAM and 72 sysDSP multipliers in a 381-ball caBGA package. ECP5 was optimized by Lattice for low cost, small form factor and low power, which makes it a practical way to add programmable connectivity or acceleration to a system built around an ASIC or ASSP without paying for more FPGA than the design needs. The 44K-cell fabric is large enough for video pipelines, protocol bridges, motor-control logic and modest DSP data paths, while the sysDSP blocks accelerate multipliers and filters. ECP5 supports dual-channel SerDes on the UM and UM5G versions for high-speed serial links, and the F suffix denotes an enhanced-feature device with a full I/O complement. The caBGA-381 package balances I/O count and board area, and the device configures from external SPI flash for fast, repeatable boot. ECP5 is also offered in an automotive variant with AEC-Q100 qualification. Every device is factory-traceable and ships with import declaration, certificate of origin and RoHS documentation.
